‘Being Brunel’ is a new museum that has opened on Bristol’s harbourside
This new £7.2m attraction celebrates Isambard Kingdom Brunel’s work and life through previously unseen artefacts and a journey into the mind of the great engineer. Here at Rutters we were delighted to be involved.
The new museum incorporates Brunel’s original and fully restored dock office and the carpet here – 7m x 4m – was produced and printed by us on FP1000 carpet. It was in this office in the Great Western Dockyard, that Brunel designed and built the SS Great Britain, a ship which took four years to construct and another 18 months to get out of Bristol.
